Lung Cancer

May 18, 2017

“A little background about me: I am a 53 year old engineer. I grew up on a ranch, never smoked and have always been athletic. You can imagine my dismay when one year ago, I was diagnosed with lung cancer. During the CT scan, they identified 4 “nodules”, 2 on my lungs and 2 on my liver. The PET scan confirmed that the larger nodule was cancer. I had the upper superior lung lobe (25% of my lung capacity) removed through surgery and was told by Kaiser that they were done with me except for routine CT scans to see what else grew. I was scared and confused. My son was only one year old and I needed to be there to raise him.
I was referred to Dr. Young through a friend. She was very patient answering all my questions, and I had a lot of them (did I mention I was an engineer). What I liked the most was that she was honest and knew her stuff. Not everything is known about cancer, but few doctors can tell you what is and is not known.
Dr. Young put me on a rigorous IV, dietary and supplement program for the first 6 months, when I received the results of my first follow-up CT scan. The results were very positive. Of the three remaining nodules, nothing grew (I was not stage 4, and I cried tears of joy)! Dr. Young then modified my treatment to address secondary health issues, while still addressing a potential reoccurrence of cancer. I just got the results from my 1-year follow-up CT scan – great news! It would appear that one of the remaining nodules is gone and the other two are benign.
I could not have done this without Dr. Young’s help, and would (and have) recommend her to anyone.”*
