Each Halloween where I grew up, I would attend a community Halloween event at a local shopping center. It made a strong impression on me as a child and I still have stories about the businesses and organizations I interacted with at this annual event. That got me thinking about what Folsom has on offer for the children at Halloween.
We have organized the businesses here in our Quail Park center to host the first annual Healthy Halloween event this year from 2-6 pm on Saturday, October 31st. The event will have carnival games, a costume contest, hair and makeup stations for the kids to get ready for trick or treating, Halloween dance demonstrations, live Halloween music and some incredible performance art. Don’t worry, we’ll have some wine tasting for the adults, too! We will also have a donated costume boutique for those kids in need of a costume or who just need a few more accessories.
