IV Magnesium

Magnesium is a fundamental nutrient that is necessary for muscles to relax and keep blood flowing freely. IV magnesium provides a therapeutic dose that could not be achieved orally without severe diarrhea and GI irritation. Intravenous magnesium sulfate has been clinically proven to help in the treatment of several kinds of cardiovascular disease. Magnesium relaxes smooth muscle throughout the body and dilates blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing blood pressure. It has the ability to smooth arrhythmias, lower blood pressure, and improve the outcome for patients undergoing stent placement for blocked coronary arteries.
